Aimed from a distance, it gives intense highlights, and if the angle is adjusted carefully the light will graze the set. Reflectors or secondary lights opposite can then lift the shadows. This style has had a considerable vogue in food photography, where one of the important functions of the lighting is to reveal and enhance texture.
